The figure is the starting point for her work. This painting is from the series The Storm and I, a body of work that distills contemporary events into figures that are experiencing them.
Before the public exhibition of this work, thieves disabled the security system at Galerie d'Avignon in Montreal, and stole 3 of the 4 large paintings from the exhibit, including this one.
